Job Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on People Operations Manager to lead and shape our HR function as we scale. In this role, you’ll oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and organizational planning. Key Responsibilities:
- HR Policy & Compliance: Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- People Operations Leadership: Own and execute all people-related functions, including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and HR systems.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Ensure a seamless and compliant experience through every phase of the employee lifecycle—from offer letter to exit.
- PEO & On-Site HR Support: Act as the primary point of contact with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and serve as the on-site HR resource for day-to-day employee needs.
- Payroll Partnership: Liaise with Accounting to validate payroll data, ensure accuracy of PTO and deductions, and approve final payroll runs.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage and improve total rewards programs through market benchmarking, compliance, and compensation planning.
- Employee Relations: Lead investigations, mediate workplace issues, and resolve employee concerns in partnership with legal counsel when needed.
- Performance & Development: Guide goal-setting, performance reviews, and succession planning to support career growth and leadership development.
- HR Analytics & Budgeting: Track HR KPIs (turnover, engagement, compa-ratio) and manage the People-Ops budget to support strategic decisions.
- Strategic Advising: Partner with senior leadership on org design, M&A support, and culture initiatives using data to drive outcomes.
- Global Team Collaboration: Work with distributed teams using Slack, Zoom, and HR tech platforms to keep operations running smoothly.
- Culture & Engagement: Champion internal culture through surveys, events, and engagement strategies that boost morale and retention.
- Talent Acquisition Partnership: Coordinate closely with external recruiting partners to align hiring plans and ensure a positive candidate experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification like SHRM-CP or PHR preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong background in people operations and compliance.
- Deep knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
