Position: Vice President, Asset Management
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Salary: $150K - $180K + Bonus + Equity
A prominent private equity real estate investment firm is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Asset Management to oversee the performance of its residential housing portfolio. This pivotal role involves strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial optimization, requiring collaboration across departments to drive long-term portfolio growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction for the firm's manufactured housing assets, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Partner with senior management to drive operational efficiencies and asset repositioning efforts.
- Regularly assess financial performance and budget alignment, identifying areas for improvement.
- Work cross-functionally with development, capital markets, and maintenance teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient completion of capital projects.
- Negotiate contracts and drive cost-saving initiatives across the portfolio.
- Oversee tax strategy and work with consultants on property tax matters, including appeals when necessary.
- Conduct property reviews and inspections to identify opportunities for capital improvements and performance enhancements.
- Lead the preparation of competitive market analyses to inform business strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree (preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher); an MBA or MS in real estate or finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years in asset management, preferably with experience in multifamily / residential and managing a geographically diverse portfolio.
- Strong skills in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to present complex data effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments and drive results.
- Willing to travel 25-30% of the time.
