Asset Management Analyst
Dwight Mortgage Trust, LLC (“DMT” or the “Fund”) is an actively managed real estate investment trust specializing in the origination and financing of commercial mortgages across a range of real estate asset classes. Role & Responsibilities
• Support Asset Manager in the collection, tracking, and spreading borrower financials, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements, bank statements, rent rolls, AP/AR aging schedules, etc.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial analyses to evaluate projects’ performance and discuss with borrowers any substantial variances and non-compliance with loan covenants
• Re-underwrite loans quarterly as part of on-going evaluation of the transitional commercial real estate loans and viability of exit strategy
• Monitor maturity dates, extensions, potential payoffs, and any needed loan amendments or modifications
• Assist in the review of the financial performance of investments, including tenancy changes and compliance with various loan covenants and warehouse agreements
• Responsible for timely satisfaction and compliance with warehouse and participating lender reporting requirements
• Ongoing monitoring of property market conditions, including tracking of market performance trends and projections, and comparable properties through market research
• Loan document review and interpretation
• Assist in the review and preparation of recommendation requests for lease proposals, property releases, other consent matters, and borrower requests
Qualifications
• In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
Undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or Economics with a strong GPA
Excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple transactions and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Proficiency in financial modeling and risk analysis
• Ability to successfully handle interactions with a variety of people in differing roles (Loan Sponsors, Dwight origination staff, top-level executives, etc.)
• Problem-solver, self-starter mentality with an ability to work independently
