The Director of Corporate Real Estate’s primary function is to create and execute the Company’s overall real estate strategy for all leasehold interests on Lennar’s platforms. This includes collaborating on efficiencies with each business unit to mitigate economic obligations and risk for Lennar, overseeing the lease negotiation and renewal process with all third-party landlord’s, including management of any outsourced vendor relationships and services, and overseeing fair market value research to ensure the best terms are secured. Interpret and advice management on all terms of real estate contracts, including leases, subleases, addendum, construction management and related documents.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
- Participate in the formulation of an enterprise-wide real estate strategy including human and physical plant efficiencies and risk mitigation.
- Develop a strategy for each upcoming lease project.
- Manage third party landlords and outsourced services enterprise-wide.
- Negotiate lease contracts and comparable agreements, and coordinate related processes on behalf of assigned Lennar locations.
- Ensure necessary legal reviews and due diligence processes are completed.
Prepare and maintain rent schedules and budgets.
- Provide documentation, financial analysis, and related research for real estate issues.
- Review, prepare, analyze and interpret all leases, permits and licenses as applicable.
- Maintain database of leases and related information for reporting purposes and project prioritization.
- Drafts lease language and creates legal documents as required such as lease modification amendments, letters of intent and option letters.
- Lead special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- At least 8+ years of contract negotiation in real estate required, preferably in a high-volume corporate environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Experience with LOI and contract negotiations and commercial leasing.
- Knowledge and understanding of real estate concepts, practices and procedures.
- Understanding of legal documents and language.
- Knowledge of home building industry preferred.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written) with all levels within an organization or in the broader market.
- Strong negotiation and project management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and Database applications.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
