Position Summary

The Laborer is responsible for installing and repairing roofs on commercial structures. The Laborer is also responsible for removing old roofing materials before making repairs to the structure and applying new roofing materials.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Handling and installing roofing components
Inspect and test roof for leaks
Suggest necessary repairs
Repair leaks and other roof problems
Be attentive to clients, act professionally while on the job, and clean up thoroughly once the project is complete
Follow all safety protocols

Other Responsibilities

Performs other work-duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 1 year of professional roofing or construction experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Proficient with industry equipment and hand tools
Ability to lift between 40-50 pounds
Ability to work outside

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly wear gloves, hard hats, safety goggles, or ear plugs, depending on the job
Are sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors
Able to lift 40-50 pounds
Climb a ladder safely
Usually work close to others, typically within a few feet.

WORKING HOURS

Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM and subject to change based on workload
