Senior Vice President of Development
Location: Atlanta, GA
Compensation: $250,000 - $290,000 + Bonus & Benefits
About the Role:
JL Partners is seeking an accomplished Senior Vice President of Development to lead the strategic planning and execution of large-scale residential, high-rise, and multi-family developments in Atlanta. This executive will drive the full project lifecycle, from site acquisition and entitlements to design construction and final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term development strategies to maximize portfolio growth and profitability.
- Project Oversight: Lead all aspects of the development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Market Analysis: Identify emerging trends, evaluate potential sites, and build relationships with key stakeholders to capitalize on development opportunities.
- Financial & Risk Management: Oversee proformas, capital structures, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure financial feasibility.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with investors, municipalities, architects, and construction teams to align project objectives with market demand.
- Leadership & Team Building: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of development professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in real estate development, with a strong background in multi-family, high-rise, and mixed-use projects.
- Proven success in delivering $100M+ urban developments from concept to completion.
- Expertise in site selection, entitlements, permitting, and financial modeling.
- Strong relationships within the Atlanta real estate community, including local agencies, capital partners, and construction professionals.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic decision-making skills.
