The
Analyst, Transactions is responsible for providing financial and strategic analysis while supporting the Transactions department.
As the
Analyst, Transactions one is held accountable to, however not limited to, the following job functions:
- Perform analysis and support for underwriting, due diligence and closing of commercial real estate debt investments by performing due diligence and preparing various analyses.
- Assist in modeling financing opportunities and conduct analyses on cash flow, valuation, and credit risk.
- Produce and review investment packages by highlighting economic, demographic, and market data
- Communicate with external parties regarding key aspects of the investment including the equity sponsor, partners, brokers, lenders, lawyers, and prospective investors
- Assist in the management and oversight of closing transactions
- Spearhead special projects as directed by management
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience at an investment bank, private equity firm, or investment manager
- Strong understanding of financial analysis concepts, including, but not limited to, rates of return, cash flows, net present value and realization
- Understanding of general real estate capital markets and related trends
- Advanced knowledge of various financial and investment modeling techniques
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and comprehend the results of the various financial models
- Proactive, detail-oriented, excellent interpersonal and writing skills, ability to prioritize, high degree of integrity, and collaborative
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in real estate private equity
- Exposure to both corporate and asset-level real estate financial modeling
- Knowledge of Argus Enterprise
