This is a casual/per diem, non-benefited, partial remote position with 8-hour, day shifts. Schedule will be 20 hours per week. This is a limited tenure position through September 30, 2025.

With a level I trauma center, Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is committed to providing excellent emergency care. Our trauma research team works to improve efforts to evaluate, resuscitate and manage critically injured patients. The Research Assistant I will be joining a close-knit team that prides itself in their impact on improving patient care. There will be an opportunity to work closely with our Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator analyzing our trauma data and working together on our trauma injury prevention initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who has strong attention to detail and interested in growing their experience in research, data analysis and statistics.
Responsibilities include:
- Assists with multiple aspects of clinical trials ensuring data integrity, positive interactions with potential study subjects, document management, administrative support and evaluation process.
- Keeps internal data entry systems up-to-date.
- Provides superior service to principle investigators and research sponsors within scope of responsibilities.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- High school diploma required.
- 1-2 years experience in a research setting.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software.
- Organized and detailed oriented.
- Strong motivator/communicator in a compact clinical team working with aggressive timelines.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- 2 years research training.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Position Pay Range: $25.40-$33.15/hour
