We are seeking an experienced Right-of-Way Agent with a strong background in acquisitions for public sector utility, transportation, and other infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in negotiating easements, fee-simple ROW, managing landowner relations, and navigating regulatory and title issues. They are a strategic, articulate, and solution-oriented professional who thrives in sometimes challenging negotiations. This individual possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing them to build rapport, understand stakeholder motivations, and influence outcomes effectively. They are confident but adaptable, capable of thinking on their feet, and navigating complex conversations with poise and professionalism. This candidate is not just a deal-maker—they are a bridge-builder who can align diverse interests and deliver sustainable agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire land rights (easements, permits, encroachments, license agreements) and fee-simple sites for utility projects.
- Negotiate with property owners in a professional, and effective manner.
- Review and interpret title documents, legal descriptions, and surveys.
- Coordinate with project managers, attorneys, surveyors, and engineers.
- Maintain detailed records of all landowner contacts and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Represent the client and company at public meetings or hearings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in right-of-way acquisition for utility projects.
- Strong knowledge of easement agreements, land valuation, and title research.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ROW management databases.
- Ability to travel within the project area as needed.
- SR/WA, RWA, or other IRWA certifications a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Real Estate Salesman or Brokers License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Texas.
- Experience working with utility companies, or municipalities.
- Experience managing condemnation support and relocation assistance.
