We are looking to hire an efficient scheduler to ensure that our clients are correctly scheduled for appointments with their visiting home care professionals. The scheduler’s responsibilities include scheduling and rescheduling appointments, maintaining clinician's schedules, verifying patients’ demographical information, communicating with clinicians, and working with other departments to verify medical insurance. Ultimately, an exceptional scheduler should be able to build and maintain a good rapport with referring hospital staff and all clients as well as field staff.

Scheduler Responsibilities
- Electronically and via phone: initiating, scheduling, rescheduling, and discharging patient cases as required.
- Communicating with clinicians to assign clients.
- Calling new clients to introduce Dubol’s Home Care as the service agency.
- Answering clients’ questions.
- Providing instructions to clients to ensure that they are prepared for clinician visits.
- Courteously receiving incoming telephone calls and taking messages as needed.
- Verifying patient insurance details.
- Obtaining authorisation from insurance companies
- Filing documents electronically.
- Scheduling multiple clinicians to visit multiple clients.

Scheduler Requirements
- College degree preferred. You will need your critical thinking skills for this job.
- Proven experience working in a medical office is preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- The ability to type and file accurately.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Good telephone etiquette.
This position is eligible for benefits: CareFirst Medical Insurance/Dental/Vision; 401k with 3% matching; Paid holidays, and PTO and sick leave.
In office weekdays 8:30 AM-5:30 PM with one hour lunch.
