Vice President of Real Estate to lead our real estate operations and support our strategic expansion efforts.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Real Estate will oversee all facets of the organization’s real estate activities, including strategic planning, site selection, acquisitions, leasing, and portfolio management. This executive-level role requires a visionary leader with deep experience in real estate operations within a multi-location healthcare or dental organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a keen understanding of real estate strategy, and a proven ability to drive growth and operational excellence.

This position can work out of our support center in Vancouver, WA or El Segundo, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive real estate strategy that supports the company’s growth and operational goals.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the real estate team, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify and pursue high-impact real estate opportunities.
Site Selection & Acquisitions
- Lead market research and site selection for new dental offices to ensure optimal visibility, accessibility, and demographic alignment.
- Oversee all aspects of the acquisition process, including due diligence, financial viability, and regulatory compliance.
- Negotiate favorable lease agreements, including terms for tenant improvements, CAM, and other key provisions.
Portfolio Management
- Manage the company’s real estate portfolio, ensuring lease compliance, timely renewals, space optimization, and high-quality facility standards.
- Enhance asset performance through proactive property and lease management strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords, property managers, brokers, and other key partners.
- Resolve property-related issues promptly and cost-effectively.
Financial Management
- Lead budgeting and financial oversight for the real estate department.
- Analyze and report on portfolio performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
- Implement financial strategies that support both growth and operational efficiency.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure all real estate operations comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies, including environmental, health, and safety compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate regulations and industry best practices.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing real estate team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a multi-state, multi-site organization.
- Proven success managing healthcare or dental real estate portfolios.
- Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of real estate law, leasing structures, and market dynamics.
- Experience in dental or healthcare real estate is strongly preferred.
Compensation
Total comp package includes salary, annual bonus, and equity.
