What does an Intake Processor do?
This Role Is The First Step In The Patient Care Process. An Intake Processor Is Responsible For Accepting Incoming Referrals, Ensuring All Required Documents And Orders Were Received, And Processing The Referral. Ideal Candidates Will Have Strong Attention To Detail And Should Be Able To Manage a High Volume Of Incoming Documents With Precision. This Position Is Managed As Part Of Our Intake Department And Requires Routine Collaboration With The Operations Team As Well As The Sales Department. Some Tasks Include:
- New Patient Intake Processing
- Eligibility & Benefit Checks
- Navigation of EMR and other acceptance portals Care referrals
- Connect with hospitals and hospital systems throughout the State of Florida to ensure timely processing of Home Health
- Communication with Sales, Operations, and Referral Sources
- Weekly management and reconciliation of insurance changes
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required
What are the qualifications to be an Intake Processor?
- Stellar Customer Service Experience
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency
- Ability to perform repetitious tasks
- Experience working in medical Intake is required
- Experience navigating multiple Electronic Medical Record platforms and insurance portals
- Attention to detail
