EquipmentShare is searching for a Real Estate Lease Specialist for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.
Job Summary
- Real Estate Lease Specialist administers all aspects of the lease agreement process from agreement execution through termination/ expiration, including lease review, audit and enforcement. Such day-to-day administration tasks include record keeping, documentation organization and analyzing lease data. Real Estate Lease Specialist ensures monthly rents are paid and all lease activities are in accordance with policies and guidelines.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed records of all lease agreements and supporting documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for landlord related matters, including but not limited to lease renewals, rent escalations, permissions and improvements.
- Facilitate communication with other departments to relay pertinent information (working closely with our Finance, Accounting and other operations departments).
- Analyze lease documents and data, including creating abstracts, preparing documents for execution and confirming all tenant conditions are satisfied upon signing.
- Ensure compliance with lessee obligations under lease agreements.
- Summarize and organize key information from lease agreements for easy access and analysis.
- Monitor and maintain positive and reliable communication with landlords, funding partners, and third-party vendors.
- Maintain a calendar and tickler for lease data: lease expiration, rent escalations and tenant obligations.
- Generate and maintain monthly lease reports.
- Assist with company special projects or tasks when requested.
- Support other departments with requests for real property information.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to clearly convey ideas, both in writing and verbally, to a diverse audience.
- Active listening to understand others' perspectives and respond appropriately.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
Education And Experience
- Previous lease administration experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of lease transaction process.
- Previous Customer Service Experience preferred.
