Work Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:15pm (Hours may fluctuate)
Overview:
Ansell Law is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Real Estate department. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to our CRE team, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for law and a desire to contribute to the success of a fast-paced legal practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Manage administrative tasks such as client payments, managing received mail and plans, and thorough record keeping
- Organize and maintain all case files, including indexing/filing documents
- Assist with preparation and redlined revisions to commercial contracts, leases, financing, and other documents
- Open and close files
- Assist with creating post-closing binders for clients
- Documenting receipt of plans and reports
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients on behalf of attorneys
- Assemble and send certified mail
- Assist with preparing documents for signature for commercial closings
- Answer phones in a pleasant and professional manner and communicating with clients, lenders, professionals, and other attorneys, daily by phone, email, and mailed correspondence
Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced department
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years of experience as a Legal Assistant
- Associate's degree or certification in paralegal studies is a plus
- Strong background in commercial and residential real estate experience required
- Knowledge in document management system iManage and billing system Orion is a plus
