Summary: The Vice President of Real Estate Development provides leadership and strategic oversight of all construction activities across the organization. This role is responsible for the planning, budgeting, execution, and successful delivery of new builds, remodels, and capital projects nationwide. The VP ensures alignment with company goals, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership & Strategy
- Plan and develop annual construction strategies and CAPEX programs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Construction Project Managers.
- Provide weekly construction and financial updates to senior leadership.
- Own relationships with consultants, contractors, and other third parties.
- Guide project feasibility analysis and lead architectural and GC selection.
Operations & Execution
- Oversee 30–50 projects annually, totaling over 3M sq. ft. across 30+ states.
- Review and approve all change orders and contracts.
- Estimate and track construction costs and generate pro forma budgets.
- Conduct site visits before, during, and post-construction phases.
- Manage and control over $100M in annual capital upgrade budgets.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards.
Real Estate & Development Support
- Collaborate with the Real Estate team on new developments and acquisitions.
- Redline leases and provide cost projections prior to lease execution.
- Review lease documents to ensure compliance and meet developer requirements.
- Partner with internal departments (finance, F&B, marketing, ops) to ensure construction plans meet cross-functional needs.
Training & Development
- Mentor and develop internal construction talent.
- Support Maintenance Department operations through training and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- High integrity, excellent communication, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale budgets and multi-site project delivery.
- Experience with contract negotiation and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to redline construction drawings. CAD knowledge is a plus.
Education And Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management , Architecture, or Engineering.
- 8+ years of related experience leading construction efforts for commercial real estate or hospitality venues.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with food & beverage concepts (bars, restaurants, hotels) and multi-level family entertainment centers ( FECs ).
Work Environment/Physical Demands: General office environment where you will w alk, bend, and stand for periods of time.

The approximate pay rate for this position is $150,000-160,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
