Hirewell has been exclusively retained by a leading Real Estate Owner & Developer of Grocery Store Anchored Properties to lead the search for aReal Estate Manager.
This position, which needs to be held in-person in Michigan, will drive development and market entry strategy for the company's expansion program, with a focus on their gas station program. This individual will oversee planning, entitlements, permitting, data analytics and site selection.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive the company’s real estate development and market entry strategy, including market planning, broker networking, site selection, acquisition and development negotiations, due diligence and related entitlement work while coordinating with operations, design, construction, procurement, data analytics, and legal teams for expansion of the convenience store program.
- Participate in coordination of internal stakeholder alignment and approval on proposed site locations, including, touring with and securing approvals by leadership.
- Leverage internal resources to conduct industry, market and competitor analysis to identify key areas of focus and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain qualified broker and developer relationships for new projects and with other vendors and retailers as sources for potential new sites.
- Travel to required markets to evaluate and investigate one and multi-site locations (availability, property values, access, zoning, development obstacles, timing, etc.).
Qualifications include:
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience.
- Bachelors degree in real estate, business, economics, urban planning, or related field.
- Proven experience with retail assets including grocery stores, big-box, or convenience stores.
- Working knowledge of design, construction, engineering, and property management plan.
