Newhouse is leading independent marketing and communications agency that serves the entertainment industry. We are looking for a Publicity Coordinator with superior communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a desire to build valuable experience working with some of the most recognizable names in the entertainment industry. You’ll be working with a small team on a stellar roster of film studio, television, entertainment, and music clientele. This role would be based in the New York City area.

Job Responsibilities include:

Day-to-day communication on multiple accounts with clientele and internal team
Identify and develop publicity opportunities
Help craft overall PR strategy, press angles and tactics
Create press materials (press releases, press kits, creative ideas and press concepts)
Generate targeted media lists and media outlets’ stats to clients and internal team
Develop talent, editorial and social press angles, and securing top tier press coverage via online, print, broadcast and radio
Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key media contacts and influencers
Create and service reports and press breaks/clips for all clients
Oversee coverage of festivals, junkets/press days, screenings and events required

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in film PR or entertainment PR
Proven ability to think creatively and outside the box
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project and time management ability
Ability to work both in a team environment and independently on multiple, complex projects at one time
Knowledge of social media platforms and experience in pitching social takeovers and activations
Strong and confident working ability with such programs and platforms as: Constant Contact, Cision, Google Sheets
Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications or related field
