Commercial Lease Administrator – Family Office (Real Estate)

An established Family Office in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking an experienced Commercial Lease Administrator for a portfolio of 30+ commercial office and retail properties. This is a stand-alone position that reports to the CFO. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in overseeing lease abstracts and amendments, lease accounting operations and associated reporting.

Responsibilities:

Conduct lease abstractions to extract and record critical lease data, such as rent schedules, renewal options, and maintenance responsibilities.
Prepare and maintain all lease documentation for commercial properties, including lease agreements, amendments, and renewals.
Monitor and manage the rent collection process, ensuring that tenants pay rent in accordance with lease terms and deadlines.
Enforce lease compliance by monitoring and tracking tenant obligations, including maintenance responsibilities, sales, insurance requirements, and operating expenses.
Conduct lease audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any discrepancies with the property management and accounting teams.
Generate regular reports on lease status, rent collection, and lease-related financial metrics for management review.
Responsible for calculating annual reconciliations for CAM and RET prior to submission to Tenant.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in lease administration or real estate accounting.
Proficiency in Excel and MRI is preferred.
Strong knowledge of commercial lease terms, regulations, and legal compliance.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Understanding lease administration processes, lease terminology, and lease clauses.
Strong organizational abilities and computer skills.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 plus comprehensive benefits and bonus.
