Our continued growth year over year is driven by our skilled personnel and solid financial foundation. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our team.

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Assistant will provide vital support in the purchasing process, assist department staff, maintain purchasing documentation, and respond to related inquiries. This position also involves maintaining vendor and source information. The Purchasing Assistant will report directly to the Purchasing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Report to the Purchasing Manager.
Assist with vendors on orders, equipment, and materials.
Help prepare purchase orders for materials, tools, and company needs.
Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve delivery issues.
Accurately complete and manage purchasing-related paperwork.
Process stock requisitions and packing slips as requested.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date records of invoices and purchase orders.
Update internal databases with order details, including dates, vendors, and purchase descriptions.
Monitor backordered items and keep accurate records.
Confirm deliveries with vendors via phone and email (Outlook).
Review vendor contracts to ensure cost competitiveness and foster growth.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of procurement experience, preferably in modular or construction industries.
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of problem-solving.
Ability to prioritize tasks and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic with a collaborative and team-focused mindset.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Dependable with a proven ability to follow through and act quickly in a dynamic situation.
